Dot in - Kerala Restaurant

Only Kerala restaurant in Netherlands. Porotta was excellent and the flavors were authentic with a modern twist. Will surely be coming back for more.

Great ambience, the kitchen being upstairs and not filling the restaurant with those food odours is fantastic! Great service! Only felt bad because you were closing at 2pm and lot of people were coming in between 1-1;30 but couldn’t be served due to closure at 2. So hopefully you can relook at the demand and open for lunch.

I had an absolutely wonderful dining experience at Dot In! As someone who loves Kerala cuisine, I was truly impressed by the authenticity and creativity in every dish. The flavors were spot on – rich, balanced, and comforting, just like home. The Alleppey prawns curry was a standout – the coconut-based gravy was velvety and aromatic, and the prawns were perfectly cooked. I also loved the banana fry with beef – a unique combination that worked beautifully, offering both texture and flavor in every bite. The ambiance is modern yet cozy, with a lovely South Indian charm that makes you feel instantly welcome. The staff were incredibly warm, attentive, and knowledgeable – they took the time to explain the dishes and made sure we were well taken care of throughout the evening. It’s clear that Dot In is passionate about bringing the essence of Kerala to Amsterdam. Whether you’re familiar with Kerala food or trying it for the first time, this is a must-visit spot. I’ll definitely be coming back – and bringing friends along too!

The service was good, the starter was enjoyable, but the main course was disappointing; it lacked flavor and was very bland. Overall, it was not worth the money.
